Rock2Road dual-sport motorcycle tours begin and end at Beechwood, NSW. Beechwood is about 35 minutes drive west of Port Macquarie near the historic logging town of Wauchope, NSW.
There are regular flights from Sydney to Port Macquarie, and regular trains to Wauchope on the main northern train line. Rock2Road staff will pickup from Port Macquarie airport and Wauchope railway station. Driving takes 4.5 hours from Sydney, NSW or 7 hours from Brisbane, Queensland.
Bikes: All of our tours include a fully prepared dual-sport motorcycle. We have 2 options, either a Suzuki DL650A V-Strom with ABS, or a LAM approved Suzuki DR650SE. The latter is more more suitable for less experienced riders, and the V-Strom is necessary if you want to bring a pillion passenger. More detail on our bikes is available on our Our Bikes page.
Accomodation: Twin share accommodation is provided in carefully selected country pubs and lodges. A full hot breakfast is included each day.
We typically arrive at our overnight stays around 4:30 - 5:00PM so there is plenty of time to get settled, have a hot shower, and settle in for the evening with a beer or two with fellow riders and tour leaders.
Protective clothing – riding boots, pants, jersey, gloves, eye protection. Appropriate protective riding gear can be provided at additional cost if you do not have your own. A minimum of casual clothing, walking shoes, swimmers, sun hat or cap, towel, sunscreen, sunglasses, insect repellent, camera, film, toilet requisites, any medication.
Our tour leaders and support crew are trained in First Aid and hold current First Aid certificates. The support 4WD carries a comprehensive First Aid kit at all times.
